Job Vacancy: Senior Development Worker with Greener Kirkcaldy
Greener Kirkcaldy is a community-led charity that provides information and support to local people about a range of environmental issues. We are expanding our staff team after being awarded funding by the Climate Challenge Fund for our Kirkcaldy Goes Greener! project, which aims to reduce the carbon footprint of participants through community engagement, volunteer development and practical projects focussing on energy efficiency, sustainable food and reducing waste. We are looking for an enthusiastic and suitably experienced Senior Development Worker. You will take a lead role in designing and delivering a community engagement strategy, including developing Greener Kirkcaldy’s membership, volunteer engagement and work with schools and young people. You will lead the Development Worker team to develop and deliver a programme of activities, training and events related to sustainable food growing and cooking, waste reduction, home energy efficiency, greener transport, and climate change education; and to carry out home advice visits.
This is a part-time post – 0.5 FTE (18.75 hours per week).
Fixed term contract to March 2015.
Salary:£28,077 pro-rata.
