'Develop and Improve Communities' - Lloyds Banking Group
You may be aware that Lloyds Banking Group can make awards for small grants for initiatives which aim to 'Develop and Improve Communities' through their Bank of Scotland Foundation to Charities.
They are keen to increase applications from Fife, in particular, aiming to make awards in the 'Improving Financial Inclusion and Financial Literacy' category. This is undoubtedly an area of significant importance and an emerging priority both at a national and local level as the impact of the current economic downturn coupled with the Government's far reaching welfare reform measures place additional pressures on those already struggling to cope financially.
In working to progress this agenda, Lloyds have approached Fife Council to their seek assistance in raising awareness of this opportunity and actively promoting it amongst community groups and organisations who may be eligible to apply Applicants must be Charities registered in Scotland.
