Scottish Education and Action for Development (SEAD)

Description

SWITCH ON TO CLIMATE CHANGE

Would you like a way of getting active on climate issues in your own neighbourhood? The opportunity might be closer than you think.

SEAD (Scottish Education and Action for Development) has launched a new project which is helping people all over Scotland to find their own approaches to tackling the problem of climate change. Whether you're interested in ways of making a difference as in individual, as part of a community group, or at the national or international level, Switch On to Climate Change offers resources to help make it easier.

Among the opportunities provided are workshops on climate change and community action, useful information, support and links with other groups to help people find the approach which suits them best. SEAD is gathering case studies of positive action in Scotland and around the world, showing the kinds of things we can do collectively to make a difference. If you're interested, or you can think of a group which might be keen to host a workshop exploring community-based climate action then do get in touch. You can find out more, and download SEAD's handy booklet, "Rising to the Climate Challenge" from the SEAD website below.
