Following an introduction by CVS Fife’s Manager, Bryan Poole, Jim Leishman gave credit and support to the voluntary sector both here in Fife and internationally. He spoke about his own voluntary activities and how they have given him much satisfaction. He also gave credit to those who have contributed to and drafted the Manifesto.

Following on from Jim Leishman, the political representatives present gave their own and their parties' position on the Manifesto. The Conservative & Unionist Party, represented by Roger Guy stated that his party 'commended' the manifesto. Fiona Grant, SNP Councillor stated that there was 'little to disagree with' in the manifesto. Liberal Democrat Jim Tolson stated that the Lib Dems had been closely involved in the development of the Manifesto and would 'support many parts' of it and Alex Rowley, representing the Labour Party stated that his party would launch its manifesto in April which would contain many items to support the voluntary sector.

The final speaker was Douglas McLellan from CVS Fife who informed those at the launch what would happen next with the Manifesto in terms of before and after the elections in May. He also thanked the voluntary sector for taking part in the development of the Manifesto and hoped that the sector would use it in future dialogue with the political groupings in Fife.
