Carole Patrick joined CVS Fife in 2001 to take on the role of Information Officer. She was appointed to the post of Deputy Manager in January 2006. Carole has an Honours degree in English & Film and Media Studies from Stirling University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Studies from Strathclyde University. In her role as Acting Deputy Manager she has responsibility for leading on Information & Communications within CVS Fife, and joint responsibility, along with the Acting Manager, for Community Planning work.

The Information Service within CVS Fife produces the following publications:

• Quarterly newsletter
• Annual Report
• Briefing Papers/Bulletins
• Publicity Leaflets/Adverts

The Service also provides a telephone enquiry service for voluntary organisations and community groups, providing one-off information on topics such as:

• Funding (sources and application guidance)
• Data Protection
• Disclosure Issues
• Charity Law
• Organising Events

Aside from dealing with CVS Fife information and communication issues, Carole also sits on a number of multi-agency bodies to provide a voluntary sector perspective to inform information sharing and communication initiatives in Fife. She also supports the work of the Development / Capacity Building Officer in relation to the voluntary sector forums, and works closely with the ICT Adviser to develop this site.
