Isabel Wilson is the voluntary sector representative for the Glenrothes & North East Fife CHP. She was first elected in June 2005 and was recently re-elected unopposed. When she stood for re-election she gave the statement below as her ‘personal manifesto’ for election. This outlines his skills and experiences that he felt would allow him to be a good voluntary sector representative.
Isabel has attended many CHP meetings since her election and as provided many verbal reports and a written summary of her activities so far. She can be contacted (details below) to offer support and guidance on issues regarding Glenrothes & North East Fife CHP activities as can Lyndsay Macadam at CVS Fife. Isabel will also be at the next Glenrothes & North East Fife Health & Wellbeing Forum if you wish to meet her there.

I am at present the Service Manager for Leonard Cheshire in Fife and have been managing 2 six bedded residential units, a short breaks/respite unit, 6 supporting people packages and 3 day support services during a five year period of re-provisioning and development.
I have for the past 12 years worked with adults with physical and/or learning disabilities, carers and various other stakeholders to provide a service provision tailored to meet individual needs both within the local and wider community.
I am also pleased to say that I was the successful nominated candidate representing the voluntary sector for the Glenrothes and North East Fife Community Health Partnership for the past 2 years.
These 2 years have passed very quickly and my commitment in the first instance was to bring an awareness of the voluntary sector to the CHP, receive appropriate training, network with members of the CHP and deliver to the Health and Well-being forum.
I believe this has been managed successfully and feel it is now time to develop and prioritise an effective strategy which will take specific interests and discussion of the voluntary sector to the CHP.
I feel I can develop this role further now that I have the experience, confidence, ability and commitment to promote the voluntary sector into becoming a valuable partner in the development of the Health and Well being for the citizens of Glenrothes and North-East Fife.
It is therefore with this in mind that I call upon the voluntary sector to consider my proposal to be re-elected into a further 2 year period. I will endeavour with your support to successfully promote the work of the voluntary sector to the best of my ability.
