One of the key Community Planning bodies that takes forward Health & Wellbeing issues in Fife is the Health & Wellbeing Alliance. In line with Fife's Community Plan, Fife Health and Wellbeing Alliance's aim is to improve the health and well being of the people of Fife. See more information on Fife Direct.

Its purpose is to provide strategic focus within which Partner Organisations can:

• tackle health inequalities
• strengthen health and well-being over the whole of a person's life
• empower the individual and communities to make healthy choices reduce illness and injury

These Partner Organisations are:

• NHS Fife (Chair & Chief Executive of NHS Fife and Chairs of each CHP)
• Fife Council (Elected Officers & Senior Officials)
• CVS Fife – Representing the interests of the Voluntary Sector

The Health & Wellbeing Alliance is responsible for the JHIP and has a Health & Wellbeing Coordination Group to take forward many of the Alliance’s objectives. This lead group is made up of senior staff from the Council and NHS Fife as well as CVS Fife representing the interests of the voluntary sector.
