Applicant Criteria

Note that all eligible applicant groups must meet the following criteria:

  • Be set up for the public good
  • Operate on a not for profit” basis i.e. must not distribute to shareholders/members any profit they make
  • Have a bank or building society account with at least 2 joint signatories
  • Be properly constituted. This means that before they apply, they must have adopted a constitutional document that sets out their organisation’s aims, rules and how they select their management committee/board.

Funding Criteria

The New Ideas Fund provides grants of between £100 and £5,000 to community and voluntary groups within disadvantaged areas or working with disadvantaged groups to assess the feasibility of new ideas and to develop and build support for new and innovative approaches to regeneration.

The Seeing Is Believing Fund will provide grants of between £100 and £5,000 to community and voluntary groups within disadvantaged areas or working with disadvantaged groups, to help them visit and learn from successful regeneration projects or access other learning opportunities.

Amounts Awarded

The New Ideas Fund provides grants of between £100 and £5,000. The Seeing Is Believing Fund will provide grants of between £100 and £5,000.
