Applicant Criteria	The scheme is open to any 'formally' constituted community group with office bearers and a bank account. The scheme must enjoy the support and participation of the local community. Examples of groups include: social groups - youth groups, playgroups, religious groups, etc local representative groups - community and village councils, residents' associations, etc common interest groups - sports clubs, local natural history societies, 50+ groups, Chambers of Commerce, etc
Funding Criteria	The Community Grant Scheme is available to help people take a more active role in enjoying and managing the natural heritage in their local area by: increasing awareness and understanding of local heritage improving degraded areas through active management improving access for all acquiring and managing land supporting communities to develop their longer-term capacity to undertake and manage projects
Amounts Awarded	Up to £3,000
Clasing Dates	Applications may be submitted at any time - there is no closing date for bids.
