Applicant Criteria

Help the Hospices, the national charity for the hospice movement, have announced the second round of Carers Major Grants

The main beneficiaries must be Carers, people who provide unpaid care for a friend or family member who has a terminal illness or a progressive degenerative disease.

Funding Criteria

The Major Grants programme will fund innovative projects that will create or extend services for people who provide unpaid care for terminally ill friends or family. Grants are available to all organisations in the UK working with carers.

Amounts Awarded

Project grants will be for a minimum of £25,000 and a maximum of £50,000. The total budget for the 2006 Major Grants programme is £300,000.
