Applicant Criteria	Most voluntary and community organisations and groups working to regenerate coalfield communities are eligible to apply to us for funding. We classify parish, town and community councils as voluntary organisations. While schools, colleges and local education authorities (LEAs) are clearly statutory organisations, parent teacher associations (PTAs) or similar small groups linked to statutory organisations are also classed as voluntary. Please contact the East of Scotland office to check if the area you work in is eligible.
Funding Criteria	The Trust will support projects through its Bridging the Gap and Main Grants programmes that fit into one or more of the following funding themes. Supporting communities Learning communities Enterprising communities Supporting people into work
Amounts Awarded	Bridging the Gap: between £500 and £10,000 Main grants: between £10,000 and £100,000 in Scotland and Wales. Awards can be for capital or revenue for up to 3 years or to the end of the funding programme.
