CVS Fife - Website Update

Dear Colleague

The purpose of this bulletin is to highlight the fact that we have redesigned the CVS Fife website - www.cvsfife.org and to mention some of the changes and additions that we have made.

Comments about the website and suggestions for inclusion are always welcome.

A new look for www.cvsfife.org

The most significant change to our site is the switch to using a navigation bar with drop-down menus. This should ensure that you can easily find your way around the site no matter which page you arrived at.

The new navigation system also makes it possible to add any page within our site to your favourites - just right-click on a page and select "add to favorites".

We hope that the changes we have made make our site more accessible and easier to navigate. If you have any problems or comments regarding the website please let us know.

A few additions and updates:

Search Engine

We now have a search engine that will perform a search through all the documents on our site - not just the web pages, but also MS Word, Excel files and PDFs. For example, a search for "green office" lists five web pages, four PDFs and one MS Word document.

Like most search engines, to search for a phrase you should put quotes around it. Searching for Community Planning will list all pages with the words Community and/or Planning - whereas a search for "Community Planning" will just list pages that contain the phrase.

News & Events

The News & Events section has been updated so that the headline for a news item, event or job vacancy is also automatically displayed on our home page.

If you want to list your community event or job vacancy on our website, you can fill in the online form.
