Voluntary Sector Manifesto eBriefing

Colleagues

On the 4th July there was a meeting of the voluntary sector to discuss a Voluntary Sector Manifesto for the 2007 Local Government Elections.

CVS Fife and it's Consultative Group have already started the process of meeting the various political groupings likely to put forward candidates for the elections next year. The event on the 4th of July, held at St Bryce Kirk in Kirkcaldy, was the first opportunity for the voluntary sector to come together and start discussions about the content that could be included in the manifesto.

A report of this event, as well as a discussion area, progress timetable and events page are available on the CVS Fife website: www.cvsfife.org/manifesto

It is important that all members of the voluntary sector in Fife take part in these discussions and I would urge you, your colleagues and your Board/Committee Members to talk about the idea of a Voluntary Sector Manifesto and what the content of such a manifesto could be.

Any ideas, comments, issues or concerns about the Voluntary Sector Manifesto can be forwarded to CVS Fife and the Consultative Group via the above website or emailed to manifesto@cvsfife.org.

Kind Regards
