The aim of DHCP is to promote interest in and understanding of Dunfermline's history, heritage and archeology by:
 
1. Publicising material related to the general aim
 
2. Maintaining a website to act as a reference source for anyone interested in aspects of Dunfermline history
 
3. Creating and expanding on archive of material related to Dunfermline's history and heritage.
 
4. Liaising with other similar groups in Dunfermline.
 
5. Developing a team of volunteers engaged in various areas of research.
