Activities
The hall was entrusted to the villagers of Charleston, Limekilns and Pattesmuir by the family of Lord Elgin early in the 20th century. It acts as village hall and is available to non profit making organisations on a regular basis, or casual lets for private functions, i.e. birthday parties, wedding receptions etc. Regular users are Charlestown Bowling Club, Charlestown Carpet Bowling Club, Gardening Club, Gellet Society, WRI, Tai Che. Monthly church services for elderly people who cannot get to Limekilns Church.
