Activities

Volunteers meet regularly to carry out practical outdoor conservation and access management tasks such as rhododendron control, general tidying up of paths and burns, path repair work and tree, shrub and wild flower planting and aftercare. These tasks are carried out on newly opened up path networks, recently restored historic landscape features and a community woodland within the Estate, and on wildlife and amenity areas in the town and Palace of Falkland.
 
Volunteers benefit from healthy outdoor work in the company of friendly leaders who are knowledgeable about landscape, wildlife and land management issues. We cater for the widest range of ages and abilities. Workdays are focussed on individual volunteer’s needs, rather than accomplishing a set amount of work.
